Welcome to Hunters Hill Technology College. We are fortunate to be sponsored by Microsoft Corporation (Software including Learning Gateway) and Dell computers (Hardware). As of 15/11/2005 we have Teksys Systems currently installing our new `Learning Gateway' system. Further ICT developments include the digital library project with the recent purchase of DVD players, DVD movies and digital CD audio books for students and staff to loan. The Upper School are having a 24 station ICT Suite built with 2 Digital projectors and facilities for community training. The ICT Dept. made a presentation to ALL the `Edge' collegiate Heads on the 13/01/2006 covering our `Learning gateway' which will be online for 23/7 365 days of the year and accessible by students and staff anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Year 7. Are introduced to word processing, powerpoint, spreadsheets, databases and control technology within the National Curriculum guidelines. Year 8. Develop on the skills introduced in year 7 with greater emphasis on self evaluation. Year 9. Students are given the opportunity to continue with the National Curriculum programme of study and/or take AiDA (Equivalent to 1 GCSE examination). The year 9 programme of work concentrates on the following main areas of ICT developing further skills in these areas: using information sources, working with information, presenting information, print and digital publishing, creating an e-portfolio, project planning, monitoring and evaluation. Year 10. Student can either continue with DiDA or begin a CLAIT examination course. Year 11. Students complete the examination courses started in year 10.
