Business Studies
Welcome to the Business Studies Department. Business Studies and Enterprise education are important facets of work within our school. In Key Stage 4 a Business Studies & Enterprise theme runs throughout our vocational courses and extensive option scheme. Year 10 Bus. studies In year 10 students begin a two year integrated course which covers basic Mathematics and English along with Mini- enterprise, Information Technology and related Key Skills. Year 11 Bus. studies In year 11 students will experience many problem solving activities, develop skills of initiative and perserverance along with budgeting and presentation skills. Mini - enterprise Mini - enterprise involves the students running and monitoring various fund raising activites, handling money, dealing with customers and quality control. All students will participate. Examples of successful mini-enterprises are illustrates here:
