Nicky our senior cook she has been at Hunters Hill nearly 9 years. Nicky is well organized and can cook just about anything and always willing to try new recipes and ideas. Nicky Said "It can be quiet a challenge meeting some of the new standards such as regularly using oily fish in recipes and producing food that the children will eat and enjoy. Wholesome home cooking has always been the mainstay of food for the school and our children have not had to adapt too many changes. Although no salt on tables was one rule that was not popular with the pupils
Tracey is also a cook and is well known for her famous pastry and cakes. She said "I think the children have a great choice of food, more than other local schools provide. I find that the children are always friendly and polite to all of us in the kitchen, and let you know if they have enjoyed their meal

The mission of Better School Food (BSF) states that it is to raise awareness of the connection between food and children's health, behavior
and learning" Here at Hunter Hill we have always been aware long before (BFS) statement, that the wellbeing of children through nutrition
was one of the key element in learning and behavior; and have always supported this with adequate funding in the food budget which allows us to provide children with a varied, seasonal and well balanced menu, incorporating fresh produce and local sourced provision where appropriate.
