Jan :  (RSCW)
Jan began working at Hunters Hill several years ago; she began her working life at the school on a voluntary basis. After realising this is the career she wanted to pursue Jan made the decision to begin working full time at Hunters Hill. Successfully completing her NVQ Level 3, Jan enjoys socialising and helping others. Before beginning life at Hunters Hill Jan worked in the medical industry which included her being a doctor’s receptionist.
Senior Team Leader : Mr S Rice
Hunters Hill Care Team staff, who work within Hunters HIll staff team and who have principle responsibility of the residential elemnt of the school. However duty rota's are designed to ensure that members of the team are on duty throughout the school day to support the pupils in their classroom environment. The Care Team have a variety of roles which include identified members being Child Protection Designated Persons, PRIME trainers and take responsibility for the administration of pupils in care.
 
Due to flexibility of the team's shifts they are able to complete home / school liasion work with parents and cares to ensure a consistant approach in the edcuation of pupils, imperative work which Hunters HIll Technology College take extremely seriously to support the sucess of all our pupils.

 An introduction to the care team?
Residential School Care Worker (RSCW)
Before starting at Hunters Hill, Karen had a regular nine to five job; beginning Hunters Hill in April 2007 she initially spent time in various residential homes. However Karen is now based full time as a member of the Frobisher team. Since being at Hunters Hill she has successfully completed her NVQ level 3 in social care.
Mrs K Day :   (RSCW)
Allan has worked at Hunters Hill for over 20years, based in Frobisher House he developed an interest in working with children and young people through his various work in Rugby which included coaching various Rugby teams. He remains a keen follower of the sport and also enjoys collecting signed autobiographies on sports stars.
Mr A Gillard :  (Snr RSCW)
Martin had worked in industry before joining Hunters Hill over 15 years ago. It was will at school that Martin developed an interest in the caring profession as he would often take part in visiting the elderly and participating in youth clubs. Martin is also one of the Positive Physical Intervention Tutors and not only train the staff within Hunters Hill but has also trained the Hereford and Worcester Fire service. When not at Hunters Hill Martin enjoys cricket and spending time with his family. Martin has his NVQ 3.

Mrs C Taylor : Team Leader
Claire has worked in residential care in schools since leaving college in 1987. She has always enjoyed helping others at
work and in her social life. Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running and really enjoys travelling, which she has been able to incorporate into her work when organising and taking part in school trips for young people locally, in Britain and internationally. Claire is qualified to Registered Managers Award for children and young people
Colin is based in Raleigh House since 2006. Before joining Hunters Hill he was a project worker for the NHS working prominently with teenagers. After working closely in schools around Wolverhampton Colin enjoyed his work so much he decided to come to Hunters Hill. Colin has a variety of hobbies which include socialising and reading and spending time with his family. He thoroughly enjoys working at Hunters Hill. Colin has his NVQ 3
Mr C Walker : (RSCW)
Emily became interested in working with
children while completing her University Degree in Early Childhood Studies and joined Hunters Hill in 2008. Emily is based in Raleigh House and has a love of art and sports, which she actively promotes through her work with the pupils within Hunters Hill. Emily has NVQ 3

Andy has been at Hunters Hill for several years, before becoming a member of Hunters Hill he worked voluntary within the school and taught martial to young people. Having a variety of interests Andy enjoys skateboarding, cycling, motor x and general outdoor activities. Andy has completed his NVQ 3
Damian has been at Hunters Hill for several years, based in Scott House he worked at Hunters Hill as an assistant caretaker before joining the care team. Having a love of music Damian takes an active part in the music curriculum within school and spends time in the classroom. He also enjoys travelling. Damian has his NVQ 3.
Mr D Sadler:  (RSCW)
Initially from industry, before joining Hunters Hill Scott worked for Birmingham Social Services, having completed various voluntary work it was this that led him into working with children and young people. His love and skill of sport has also found him assisting the school’s PE department. He continues to coach, manage and have the role of welfare officer for junior football teams while continuing to play for a team himself. Scott has his NVQ 3
Mr S Wilkinson:  (RSCW)
Sarah has worked at Hunters Hill for over 20 years initially starting as a member of the domestic team she is now a Senior Residential School Care Worker working in Scott. Sarah thoroughly enjoys her work and her hobbies include spending time with her family, walking her dog, going to the cinema and ironing! Sarah has NVQ 3
Mrs S Butt :  (Snr RSCW)
Tracy is the team Leader of Scott House and manages five staff, a mixed unit it caters for boys and girls in year 7, 8 and 9. She has been part of initiative which has introduced a girl’s forum which includes trampolining, dance and arts and craft to date, amongst the variety of roles she has Tracy is also one of the Positive Physical Intervention Tutors, who not only train the staff within Hunters Hill but have also trained the Hereford and Worcester Fire service. Her hobbies include cooking, walking and going on holiday. Before joining Hunters Hill Tracy worked in the USA as a nanny and it was here that she developed her desire to work with children and young people. Tracy has her NVQ 3

Gemma had worked with children and young people for many years before joining Hunters Hill in 2006. Before beginning her working life, Gemma travelled round the world for a year, still enjoying travelling, anything to do with food and spending time with her family. Gemma has her NVQ 3.
Ms G Sadler  (RSCW)
Paula is based in Shackleton House and has worked at Hunters Hill since 1999 doing voluntary work before joining the care team.  Before joining Hunters Hill Paula worked in the care field based in a domestic violence hostel and also has a diploma in counselling. Having an interest in hair and beauty Paula successfully qualified as a beauty therapist in 2010. In her spare time Paula enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog and going on holidays. Paula has her NVQ 3.

Winston is the Team Leader of Shackleton House, having worked at Hunters Hill for over 30 years, he begin his working life as a RSCW. Enjoying working with young people Winston hobbies include playing tennis and socialising. Winston has his NVQ 3
Mr W Pennant : Team Leader
Chris arrived in Hunters Hill in 1998 a work placement volunteer after working in America with young people and being involved in several youth projects within his area. Based in Cropwood House with Key Stage 4 young people, he is regularly involved in outdoor education and is a ‘you choose’ advisor. An advocate for study Chris is qualified to Registered Managers Award for children and young people and is working toward gaining an A1 assessors award. Chris is a keen runner and trains regularly for 10km races; in 2006 he achieved his lifetime ambition and ran in the London Marathon
Steve Works in Cropwood House, before joining Hunters Hill Steve worked in the car industry, through his coaching of rugby and managing youth clubs he decided to pursue a career working with children and young people. Amongst his many roles at Hunters Hill Steve is the school’s transport coordinator. Having a passion for all sports, his principle sport is rugby which he continues to coach and play. Steve

Sue has worked at Hunters Hill for over 30 years, beginning as an RSW, Sue was Team Leader of the girls unit for many years. However for the last few years she has been based in Cropwood House. Due to her life experience Sue became interested in working with young people as she felt she had a lot to offer. Her interests include dancing, cooking and golf. Sue has her NVQ 3

Over 17 years ago, before joining Hunters Hill Stuart spent time in the U.S.A working on summer camps. It was because of this experience inspired him to look for employment working with young people in this country. His job title at Hunters Hill is Senior Team Leader, where amongst other roles he is also one of the Positive Physical Intervention (PRIME) Tutors and a designated Child Protection Officer. Based in Cropwood House; Stuart a member of the Care Management Team.
Deputy Head of Care : Miss Molloy
Having worked with children and young people for many years. Miss Molloy worked for Birmingham Social Services before joining Hunters Hill as a member of the Care Management Team. Having an interest in law she successfully studied for a degree in law and went on to gain qualifications to become a solicitor. Her interests are reading and socialising.

Leading the Care Team, Mrs Bates has been at Hunters Hill for over 30 years, having an interest in working with children Mrs Bates began her life at Hunters Hill as a placement for her college course. Mrs Bates has
a passion for entertaining and enjoys cooking. Mrs Bates has a diploma in Social Work.
